Asian Classics Institute
The Asian Classics Institute is a free educational resource dedicated to the serious study and personal practice of the original teachings of the Buddha. The Asian Classics Institute has condensed the essence of these Six Great Books of Buddhism into a series of 15 Formal Study Courses. Geshe Michael Roach taught these Courses to a group of teacher-trainees in Manhattan over a period of seven years.
These on-line Courses make all of the Formal Study Courses that Geshe Michael taught available to those who did not attend in person. You can pursue a comprehensive Buddhist education wherever you are, and at your own pace and commitment level.
Diamond Mountain
Diamond Mountain is dedicated to providing all of the conditions, inside and outside of us, that we need to actually reach enlightenment before the day we die. It was founded in 2004 as a retreat center and teacher training college by Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally following their completion of a three-year retreat.
Over 20 teachers have taught more than 100 courses at Diamond Mountain, many of which are available online for free.
The Yoga Studies Institute

The Yoga Studies Institute is a non-profit educational institute that thoroughly grounds students in the classical tradition of yoga. The program reunites the "outer" methods (working with the physical postures and breath) with the the traditional "inner" methods (cultivating the ethical restraints and commitments, meditation, and wisdom) into a powerful synthesis the ancients called "royal yoga."
Bringing together these "outside" and "inside" methods, restoring to yoga the complete set of "limbs" of Patanjali's eight-limbed (ashta-anga) practice, combining the physical dimension of yoga with the spiritual understanding of the interdependence of karma and emptiness, the program is designed to achieve nothing less than the end of suffering and full enlightenment for the practitioner and the skills needed to teach others how to reach these goals too.
YSI's Yoga trainings are grounded in the oldest Yoga scriptures, teaching an ancient, authentic lineage. We work closely with the Asian Classics Input Project (ACIP) to source, discover, and translate ancient texts in Sanskrit and Tibetan, and provide them in a modern commentary to modern Yoga students and teachers.
Star in the East
Geshe Michael and Lama Christie founded Star in the East (SIE) with the intention to reinvigorate the Wisdom branch of Christianity. Inspired by new translations of the Gospels of Thomas and the New Testament, SIE teaches the principles of Karma and Emptiness to a Christian minded audience. SIE workshops offer authentic training in Deep Prayer and Meditation to help people become more Christ-like beings and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Buddhist Classics Studies and Practice in Israel
Heart-Dharma is group of dharma students, studying and practicing Buddhist Classics in Israel under the guidance of their teacher Dvora Tzvieli, one of the Three-Year Retreatants. The group participates in courses and workshops through direct contact with their teacher and through the Internet.
The programs are offered in Hebrew, free of charge, and are open to all who are interested. These teachings also draw comparisons to traditional teachings of Judaism.
